Good Monday evening, everyone.
Here is a quick up-date on my wedding planning.
I just ordered my headpiece over the weekend. YAY!!!!
I am about to order my garter (There is an Eagles garter on the Eagels' website. How cool is that? Go birds! ;) ).
I still have to buy my other accessories.
Most importantly, though, there is a rally on May 9th in Albany for marriage equality for the state of New York. The Mrs-to-be is going. I am unable to attend due to work. I have been selling what copies of my books I have and am donating those proceeds to the campaign. I may continue in this effort if I get enough orders for more books.
This is important. Lesbian wedding jokes aside, this is about HUMAN RIGHTS. I pay my taxes. I obey the laws. If I am obligated to my government equally to my straight counterparts, then my government is obligated to me equally as well. I have done nothing to deserve not being able to get married in my own state. I emplore all of you to please help the LGBT community in NY and across the globe. Help us all to get equal rights. To be treated as any other citizen.
Thank you.
And remember, only 480 days left 'till I'm a married woman! :)
